My husband and I try to read to our kids everyday. We’ve read to them since they were just little peanuts, growing inside my belly. There are so many benefits to reading to children from an early age: bonding time, increased vocabulary and instilling a love for learning are only a few.
We recently gifted our 4 year old a new book called TIME for Kids BIG Book of Why: 1,001 Facts Kids Want to Know
He loves to ask “Why?” (most kids do!) and in general, enjoys learning new facts. This book has answers to all sorts of questions like why do dogs have wet noses to why do we get hiccups. The age range is 8+ (Grade 3), but it’s completely worth it to pick this one up for younger children and read it to them. There’s so much to learn in this book and the pictures to go along with the facts are fantastic.
We began a new ritual of reading two new pages each night. We both learn something new from this book! He is enjoying it and truthfully, so am I. There are quite a bit of interesting facts in this gem.
TIME for Kids has also published Big Book of How, which will be next on our list. Happy Reading!
