What makes me happy? Traveling, Oreo cookies, writing, vegetarianism, coffee, random humor, hugs from my husband, Transcendental Meditation, pedicures, healthy organic meals, being efficient, a clean and organized home, spending time with my family and most of all, my two darling beautiful boys. I believe that a positive attitude and determination goes a long, long way. Happiness is contagious and I’m determined to spread it.
My name is Anisha and here’s a little bit about me…
I first met my husband when I was 17. I was in high school and he was a “cool, older college guy”. He was 18. My high school boyfriend got upgraded to husband in 2007. Ketan is my rock. I don’t know what I would do without his constant support, energy and love. I’m not sure when we quite evolved into “grown ups” but I’m glad we did it together.
In 2011, we were lucky enough to become parents to the most beautiful baby boy. V is caring, smart and the most articulate 3 year old I know. He is my biggest inspiration in life, and for that I will always be grateful. And he tells me he loves me infinity. I can’t ask for much more than that!
Then not too long ago, I became pregnant with our baby #2 that we kept a surprise. V was over the moon and told us he wished for a brother. Earlier this year, his wish came true with the addition of RJ to our little family. RJ makes motherhood look like a piece of cake. His cuddles, cooing and laughs fuel me with energy and yet melt me into a puddle of mush. Experiencing the joys of having a baby again is humbling and I feel extremely fortunate to have these boys to call me Mommy.
I’m a project manager by trade, but after over a decade of contributing to Corporate America, I have recently swapped my work badge for burp cloths. Having the opportunity to focus on my family right now and give the “Stay At Home Mom” gig a shot has been exciting. As corny as it sounds, it just feels right. I’m also an aspiring children’s book author- one of many things I feel destined to do.
With a passion to write and a love for motherhood down to my soul, Ketan encouraged me to start a blog. I am also a first generation born Indian-American, which means I have a unique responsibility to my boys to teach them the best of two worlds. Like us, there are millions of other families that want to pass on their beautiful heritage, from wherever that might be, and I hope to inspire with my own journey.
I will share everything from life hacks, holiday celebrations, innovations, piggy bank savers, product reviews and my own masala as I like to call it as I journey on as a mommy of two! The sweet, the spicy and everything in between. I’m honored when my newly expecting friends ask me for my opinions and value what I have to say and now I have a place to share my thoughts. Thanks for visiting and I’d love to hear and learn from you as well!
